Renewable Energy integrated into this Annex

PSH designed a new Ground Source Heat Pump for this site, the system involved 3 vertical boreholes running to a total depth of 236m and replaces the Farm’s existing oil boiler. In addition to replacing the existing buildings system it also provided heating and hot water to the newly built annex building.
The scheme also upgraded the electrical distribution and allowed for future connection of solar panels and battery storage to allow the building to run completely independently from the grid and carbon neutral.
The government’s Renewable Heat Incentive will provide a financial contribution for this renewable heating system in the years ahead.#renewableenergy
